Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurant Review

: Ruth’s Chris, with its tender steaks sizzling in butter, serves a clientele of regulars and those looking for a special occasion splurge. But it’s not just about steaks; the menu also includes veal, lamb, chicken and fish. Nevertheless, for first-time visitors especially, we suggest Ruth's Chris' hand-cut USDA Prime Midwestern filet mignon, rib-eye (available in traditional or huge bone-in "Cowboy" versions) and New York strip accompanied by one of many potato selections, sautéed mushrooms or giant asparagus spears with hollandaise sauce. The porterhouse for two is the height of indulgence, ideal on a romantic evening. Recommended starters include much-needed doses of vegetables in the form of salads like the harvest with roasted corn, cherries, bacon and tomatoes in a white balsamic vinaigrette and classic Caesar with hearts of Romaine lettuce and pecorino cheese. For a taste of seafood, choose the fresh whole Maine lobster. Caramelized banana cream pie is among desserts. The wine list offers plenty of big reds to complement the hearty steaks.
