| Ryan’s Daughter is a small corner of the auld sod, conveniently tucked into Belvedere Square. A warren of dining rooms is meticulously decorated to resemble traditional Irish spaces---a farmhouse kitchen with wash on the line, a schoolroom, a tidy parlor, a library---and furnished with antiques. The menu is an agreeable mash-up of authentic Irish cookery with an international assortment of pub grub; yes, you can start your meal of corned beef and cabbage with an order of calamari or quesadillas. Boxty dishes, which wrap potato pancakes around assorted fillings burrito-style, are a specialty. There’s live music in the bar on Fridays, and Sunday evening brings a lively Irish session. |
