| Situated across from the Miami Cemetery just north of downtown Miami, this old time diner boasts some of the best home-style cooking in town. Everyone comes to the S&S sooner or later for daily specials like a generous pile of spaghetti and meat sauce and Tuesday's roast turkey plate, complete with homemade cornbread stuffing and cranberry sauce with two sides. The S&S is reminiscent of Edward Hopper's celebrated Nighthawks painting with its horseshoe counter and panoramic windows, but breakfast or lunch is the time to haunt this chow house. Visit two or three times and the venerable staff will remember you forever. |
