About the restaurant & décor: SafeHouse might easily fit into an amusement park; the spy concept commences from the minute diners enter the tiny waiting area, where they are greeted by a host offering clues to their mission. Ahead of being seated, guests are tasked with decoding a password by the end of their experience. In between courses, families hunt for clues in the bunker-style space while servers play up the theme; you'll be called spy several times during the meal and asked to name the secret agent next to you. Chuckle and enjoy. By night, the vibe switches over with kids and parents being replaced by the bar crowd and a DJ.

Likes: Super friendly servers and juicy burgers that can compete with any of the heavy hitters in Chicago.
Dislikes: Be forewarned: Foot traffic by your table is heavy from the roaming secret agents on a mission to solve clues.

Food & Drinks: Diners can order à la carte or partake in package dining for adult ($30) or junior ($20) spies. The adult option includes an individual appetizer, burger or sandwich, unlimited fries and drinks, while the junior package covers an entrée, bottomless sides, activity page and color changing-souvenir cup. Burgers are best. The Mission Impossible burger – accompanied by a mountain of fries – brims with two Angus patties, smoked bacon, cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, onion rings and smears of jalapeño relish and chipotle mayo. Not that hungry? Fill up on appetizers such as Fried C4 cheese curds or cheesy Nachos Camp Stanley. The Fat Bastard is a photogenic and tasty dessert piled high with brownie bites, chocolate cake, ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a sparkler for Instagram. An abbreviated wine menu complements the domestic beer and well drinks.
