We enjoy all the trappings of Victorian elegance in this restaurant, located in a handsome brownstone, but we’ve found the experience of dining here doesn’t live up to the promise of the setting. One recent evening, for example, none of the wines on the short list were available and there was a slight edge of gloom. Stick with the simplest of the dishes, such as roasted vegetables and Moroccan lamb.
