It’s so small and so far off the beaten track that most locals just drive by, but those in the know turn into the small industrial park in Herndon, and head to the back row of storefronts. This small Vietnamese eatery serves a hearty bowl of the famed Vietnamese beef soup, but much more besides: despite its name, it offers a short but sweet menu so that you can satisfy some of your Vietnamese cravings without heading into Eden Center. Look for the caramel prawns, deep-fried quail (not always available), and the Vietnamese beef stew. For starters, get several orders of the summer rolls and the lotus root salad with shrimp---that’s a full meal.
