Saigon Restaurant Review: What Saigon lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in flavor. This family eatery is loud, uncomfortable and overly lit, but the menu is immense (more than 340 choices) and the service is efficient. Communal dining works well because large rotating carousels circumvent the frustration of reaching and passing. The Vietnamese pho is authentic---appropriate on a chilly day. Other favorites include sautéed catfish in a tangy sauce, banh tam bo nuong (rice noodles topped with charred beef sausages), and beef porridge. |
