With low lighting and traditional bistro décor---wooden tables and chairs, and black-and-white tiles---Salon Conde is part of the busy restaurant scene in the trendy Colonia Condesa. The menu---like that of many of the newer restaurants in the city---combines Mexican and European recipes. The best dishes include mussels in white wine, fish carnitas (shredded tilapia with onions and cilantro), and filet mignon in a sauce of chile pasilla. At night, lit by candles, the eatery attracts couples and potential couples.
