The Saloon Steakhouse Restaurant Review: While it has good beef and some decent sides, The Saloon Steakhouse misses the boldness and bravura of some of the city’s glossier steakhouses. Nevertheless, its location, just a block off of bustling Michigan Avenue, makes it a draw for shoppers and travelers staying at neighboring ritzy hotels. We recommend the bone-in filet, but you can expect to pay about $50 for the pleasure. Hash browns are a crispy-good accompaniment. More contemporary counterparts, such as Wagyu meatloaf or Mediterranean chicken, can also be had. For dessert, we like the white chocolate pretzel bread pudding.
