This is a family affair: Priscilla runs the kitchen and her husband, Vincent, runs the front of the house. Both have extensive experience, so you won't find too much out of place. We enjoy the cozy and pleasant setting as well as the selection of tequilas and wines, of course. But few would argue the real star of this show is the food. The restaurant prepares one of the best mole sauces in town (we like the Pueblan, in particular), and when it comes to shellfish, nothing beats the grilled shrimp in a sweet avocado and guajillo chile-inflected garlic sauce. Desserts deliver, too, be it the Mexican chocolate mousse or spicy lime-and-tequila sorbet infused with Serrano chilies. Somewhere in between lies one of the best flans with caramel sauce. |
