| Offering delicious lessons in Southwestern Food 101, Sam's is a good choice for out-of-towners who'd like an introduction to the cuisine. The flavors aren't too far out in dishes like poblano chicken chowder, or pan-fried tuna with chile mashed potatoes, and they're all pleasantly spiced. Even if you're well acquainted with the finer points of the cuisine, you probably will still appreciate the comfortable atmosphere and creative desserts like the banana burrito with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. |
