 Sam's ChowderMobile Restaurant Review: Sam’s ChowderMobile is the food truck extension of Sam’s Chowder House, a bustling restaurant on the Pacific Coast in Half Moon Bay known not only for chowder, but for its well-rounded approach to seafood. With one of the most extensive routes of all Bay Area mobile food vendors, it is a common fixture at special events, technology campuses and even the relatively street-food-bare Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The ChowderMobile offers some of the restaurant’s most popular offerings, including delicately battered fish ‘n’ chips and fresh tacos with local fish. But don’t miss the lobster roll, conveniently available in two sizes (though you want large). It serves as a striking example that this East Coast staple has legs way out West, and that one needn’t head to Maine to find a buttery, juicy take on the dish. |
