Sam's Grill Restaurant Review:
Established in 1867, Sam's Grill is a piece of San Francisco restaurant lore. From the wood-paneled dining room with distinctive private booths, to the worn linoleum floor, the place is a monument to the old days of leisurely three-martini lunches. Start with Sam's signature asparagus with mustard sauce, then stick with basics such as broiled or pan-fried fish with minimal saucing. We suggest the broiled swordfish and salmon, as well as the sand dabs and rich cheesecake. Adjacent to the restaurant, Sam's Seafood Alley is an al fresco bar and lounge on Belden Alley with weekday happy hours and dining options.
