San Woo Chinese BBQ Restaurant Review:
Mahogany roast ducks hang in the front window offering instant atmosphere at this Chinatown standby. You could go to San Woo for any of its 380-plus menu items, including well-prepared Hong Kong-style classics and a huge seafood selection, but most tables seem to order at least one barbecue dish. Not too surprising, really; the entrance is actually a barbecue take-out shop so tempting that any rational human might want to order right there. Sit down, though, stay a while and linger over the three delicacy combination platter, this shop's holy trinity. Our favorite combo is duck, chicken and roast pork, especially when washed down with a Tsingtao. It can get busy at peak lunch or dinner times, but it's also open late, making it perfect for after a Dodger or Lakers game or --- if you eat neatly --- a show at the Music Center.
