Fresco Cafe Expands to Solvang
Fresco Cafe, a locals' favorite eatery with locations in Santa Barbara and Goleta, will be expanding into the Santa Ynez Valley. Brooks Approves Gastronomic Stimulus Package
A new "gastronomic stimulus package" at Brooks features a three-course dinner for just $33. The meal includes a choice of seasonal soup, fried oysters or chopped hearts of romaine followed by either shredded short rib, Scottish salmon or free-range chicken breast. Sunday Suppers at Elements
Here's a chance to return to your childhood every week: Elements has introduced a special called "Sunday suppers," an update on comfort food classics such as mac-n-cheese, meatloaf, fried chicken and burgers. Prix-Fixe Menus at Café Provençal
Chef-owner Serge Bonnet prepares five-course prix-fixe menus every Wednesday and Thursday night at his Café Provençal restaurant in Thousand Oaks. Soup or salad precede meat and fish dishes, which may include escolar with potato spinach cake and carrot sauce or pork tenderloin in an apple balsamic reduction. Cost, including three wines, is $45. The SideCar Restaurant Offers Ongoing Specialty Nights
Located in a 1910 Pullman train car, The SideCar Restaurant is an eatery with an undeniably unique flair. Chef-owner Tim Kilcoyne likes it that way and has reserved Tuesday nights at the restaurant for grilled cheese and local jazz; Thursdays are dedicated to burgers and martinis.
