Eureka! has opened in the Paseo Nuevo mall in downtown Santa Barbara. Offering a wide range of Angus burgers, along with hand-cut fries, salads and a full bar, the eatery has earned a loyal following at its five other Southern California locations. The farm-to-table restaurant trend continues. Arlington Tavern has opened in downtown Santa Barbara. It offers an attractive mix of artfully prepared dishes like crispy pork belly with potato salad; chicken livers with fresh dill and tarragon served with rye crackers; and entrees including lamb shank with green faro, roasted garlic and goat cheese. Live Music, Beer & Oysters at Ventura Oysterfest
Ventura Oysterfest will take place on October 13th at San Buenaventura State Beach Park and feature live music, craft beers and wines, and oysters from The Jolly Oyster and other California and Greater California oyster farms. Local restaurants will also be participating as food vendors, including The SideCar Restaurant and Watermark. The festivities start at 11 a.m. Tickets cost $20 (food and beverage not included). Seasonal Tastes at Scarlett Begonia
Scarlett Begonia has introduced a seasonal tasting menu, available every Sunday; think delicate dishes like summer squash and chorizo torta, and tomato and toast with Serrano ham and manchego. Chef Gary Daniel is taking the helm at Watermark in Ventura Chef Gary Daniel is taking the helm at Watermark on Main, Mark Hartley's extravagant restaurant in downtown Ventura.
