An ambitious businessman named Farhad Assari has taken DC’s truck business by storm, for he operates not one, not two, but five different trucks positioned logically throughout the metro area. His food, the preparation of which he oversees in a central kitchen, is eclectic, global and a bit exotic, not your typical burger-fries. Expect to find everything from fish tacos to hefty beef shwarma wraps and several vegetarian options. Also check out the short soups menu, including a turkey-based chili and a mulligatawny soup. Sides are just as eclectic: a charred curry potato salad, tropical black bean salad and a creamy bacon coleslaw. With such food, who needs a white tablecloth restaurant?
