Sausalito Seahorse Restaurant Review: There are few places in southern Marin where you can have dinner, listen to live music and go dancing all in one venue. But now there’s the Sausalito Seahorse, which has brought nightlife vitality to Marin’s southernmost town. The airy, rustic-looking interior emphasizes warm wood-based décor. There are two fireplaces and a dance area. At night, the bar, which serves a good selection of wines and beers, is a scene in itself. Dishes include daily-changing fresh seafood such as sea urchin salad, spaghetti with mixed seafood or clams, as well as assorted salads with meats or seafood that can be meals in themselves. A notable lasagna is classic northern Italian. Whole seasonal fish, boned tableside, is another specialty. For dessert, try the tiramisu. |
