THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO CHIMAYO AT THE BEACH. There's no other restaurant in Huntington Beach with this practically on-the-beach tropical patio with its palapa-style umbrellas, palm trees, crackling fireplace and killer ocean view. Oddly enough with its Southern moniker, the menu hasn't changed much since the restaurant's days as the more South American-inspired Chimayo at the Beach. So, you can still find items like mango-infused martinis, voodoo shrimp and chicken taquitos. Or, start with chilled seafood items like oysters or shrimp cocktail. For main dishes, try the filet mignon, prime rib, king crab legs or fresh fish of the day served with garlic mashed potatoes. The best time to order up specialty drinks, along with beer and wine, may be during the lively happy hour on weekdays from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
