| SoHo's charming Savoy is done in organic materials---stone fireplace, a copper mesh-and-wood ceiling overhead. The feel is decidedly modern. The service is friendly and efficient, and the ambience remarkably laid-back for the neighborhood. Chef-owner Peter Hoffman's menu remains market-driven, contemporary Mediterranean-accented American with dishes like harissa-spiced grilled chicken liver; spinach salad with baby turnips and shallot vinaigrette; and seared blackfin tuna with broccoli rabe, fennel, chickpea and summer herb salad. |
