Sawasdee Restaurant Review: It’s no surprise that this neighborhood restaurant, tucked in a nondescript strip mall, is always busy. It serves up some of the best Thai dishes in town. Just ask the regulars, who account for most of the crowd. Sawasdee offers plenty of choices for vegetarians; in fact, there’s something for almost every craving. Poh taek is a hearty soup of shrimp, squid, mussels and fish. Diners come from across the city for the pad thai, while beef and broccoli sautéed in oyster sauce satisfies the non-adventurous diners. Curry entrées are available in varying degrees of spiciness. The wine selection is sufficient, with many options available by the glass. Alternatively, try an Asian beer to complement your meal. For dessert, check the daily special board or go for the classic sticky rice Thai custard.
