Sazon Inka Restaurant Restaurant Review:
This little eatery is a hidden gem, serving topnotch Peruvian food in Rockville Town Center. Most people relate the cuisine to the rotisserie chickens Peru prepares so well. And, yes, Sazon Inka does the same. But its main menu extends over a distinctive selection of native fare, from papa a la huancaina (sliced potatoes with olives and a cheesy huancaina sauce) and chicharron de puerco (crispy pork cubes) to lomo saltado (sirloin steak sautéed with onions and Peruvian spices). Tacu tacu Inka is a dish of mixed bean and rice with steak, fried plantains and a fried egg, while the elegant chupe de camarones brings fresh shrimp cooked in a creamy broth with cheese, milk and vegetables. Without any hesitation, order the tres leches cake for dessert, an enormous wedge of milk-and-cream-drenched sponge cake. Alcoholic beverages are limited to a few beers, whisky, wine and rum cocktails, plus such typical drinks as chicha morada, the sweet purple refresher.
