Scarborough Fair Restaurant Review: Every day is Valentine’s Day at this restored 1800s farmhouse. Located on five acres at the Jersey Shore, the restaurant boasts a striking beauty from a brick, wood and glass exterior. There are tables in little nooks and crannies for some serious hand-holding. The menu offers New American cuisine with dishes such as roasted organic chicken breast with sautéed apricots, and an herb crumb Dijon-crusted New Zealand baby rack of lamb with Merlot demi-glace with pine nuts and wild rice. Service can be spotty, but given the pleasant setting, who minds? The wine list is carefully chosen and desserts are lush.
