| Seafood lovers seeking to avoid mass-marketed chain restaurants need turn no further than Scott's, one of the few places in Sacramento to find fresh, high-end seafood. The décor is a bit dated, with dim lighting, neutral colors and a slight nautical theme throughout. But the menu is contemporary, with an Asian influence, and competes with any of the flashier restaurants around town. Starters include standbys such as shrimp cocktail and barbecue oysters, as well as ahi poke lettuce wraps and rock shrimp pot stickers. Mains include grilled prawn skewers with Thai chili and citrus butter, jerk-seasoned mahi and steak and lobster. For dessert, any of the house-made gelatos or sorbets are a good bet. |
