THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar Restaurant Review:
The original location of the Scott's chain remains a popular alternative to the newer, flashier restaurants around town. In fact, it is one of the few places in Sacramento to find fresh, high-end seafood, and is therefore a good bet for a celebratory meal. The décor is a bit dated, with dim lighting, neutral colors and a slight nautical theme throughout. But the menu is contemporary with Asian influences, with many innovative (and some traditional) dishes from which to choose. Starters include ahi avocado spring rolls and steamed littleneck clams, while mains include king salmon over smoked ham cassoulet, grilled petrale sole dore, and wild prawn fettuccine. There are even choices for landlubbers, such as espresso rubbed rib-eye or filet mignon with white truffle Muscat butter. For dessert, any of the house-made gelatos or sorbets are good bets.
