Sears Fine Foods Restaurant Review

: With its heyday long past, Sears is now a beloved institution, populated by a mix of elderly neighbors, local office-workers in love with the old-school atmosphere (and prices to match), and tourists out to relive a childhood trip. Clanking cable cars chug past the demure entrance, which has been known to have a line building up on weekend mornings. Once inside, take in the Formica counters, swivel stools, muted pinks and grays, and waitresses in '50s-style uniforms. The menu is filled with dishes like chicken clubs, mounds of cottage cheese in melon, and egg salad dished out with an ice cream scoop. Still, Sears may be best known for its silver dollar-sized Swedish pancakes.
