Seasons & Regions Restaurant Review: Just on the edge of suburban Portland, this friendly restaurant is the source of fresh fish, seafood, and locally grown produce, much of it supplied by its own organic farm, located in nearby Estacada. A cozy dining room and year-round patio almost always buzz with families, couples and convivial groups. The extensive menu ranges from simple fish ‘n’ chips to seasonal specials such as Dungeness crab and Pacific salmon rigatoni, or raspberry-barbecued, wild Oregon Chinook salmon. The inventive dishes are ably prepared, and the attentive staff adds a pleasant element to the meal. In fact, if you have a favorite special, they’ll call to let you know it’s on the menu. The kids’ menu is wallet-friendly. Those in the know arrive early for the “cheap food menu,” and the drive-through window is popular for busy folks seeking a meal on the go. Cocktails focus on locally distilled liquors and there are almost 70 wines on the list. Weekend breakfasts come with a freshly baked raspberry scone. |
