Dining room at Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar, Seattle, WAUnder the direction of chef John Howie, the kitchen turns out seafood dishes ranging from classic to innovative (steak is available, if you must). Start your meal with a classic Hawaiian preparation of cured salmon, or opt for the Asian-inspired ahi. Can’t decide on just one appetizer? Order the Seastar Tower, a medley of artfully arranged seafood. Salads (shrimp and pear topped with blue cheese) and soup (rich, creamy crab bisque) are available too. For dinner, honor Pacific Northwest tradition with wild Northwest king salmon, either roasted on an aromatic cedar plank or grilled on apple wood. Another favorite is the sea scallops wrapped in prosciutto and served with a watermelon carpaccio. In need of comfort seafood? Look no further than the crab and corn risotto. For a lighter meal, investigate the elegant raw bar serving ultra fresh sushi, sashimi, and Seastar's tuna poke. Desserts range from a trio of chocolate cake, peach blueberry crisp and white chocolate-coconut cream pie to crème brûlée flavored with vanilla, chocolate or half-and-half. The wine list focuses on Northwest varietals plus California 'imports.'
