January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1, etc. Chefs Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi are offering a series of hands-on cooking classes at Revel. The schedule is as follows: January 8: "Holiday Detox," February 5: Valentine's Day menu for two, March 4: "Family Affair" class for one parent and one child aged 8+, April 1: "Cool Cocktails for Home Entertaining," May 6: "Noodle Workshop," June 3: "Butchering 101," July 1: "Not So All-American BBQ," August 5: "Pickling Summer's Bounty," September 2: "Kimchi: the Funky Business," October 7: "Dumpling Delights," November 4: "Seasonal Entertaining," and December 2: "Creative Cookies." Classes are from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and are limited to 14 people. Participants will enjoy a glass of wine during these classes, and will take home snacks and recipes from the class to recreate at home. January 14 through February 11 Join some of Seattle's top chefs on tasty and educational shopping trips through Pike Place Market, followed by a cooking demo and light meal at SieMatic Seattle's innovative kitchen studio. Offered on five Satrudays, from January 14 through February, the tours are held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and cost $75 per person. Each tour is limited to 14 people. February 26 Seattle Wine and Food Experience, the premier showcase for wine and food in the Northwest, will take place on February 26, noon-5 p.m. at the Seattle Center Exhbition Hall. Guests will experience a world tour of wine, beer and all things culinary. The event benefits The Giving Grapes Foundation, a 501c3 organization that assists local charities who provide financial assistance to service industry professionals. Event features include wines from around the world with a focus on Oregon, a beer and cider exhibit, Sip Northwest Distillery Row, more than 20 chefs preparing gourmet bites, Fonté Coffee Lounge, Artisan Food "Shop", Washington Beef Bistro and live music. March 31-April 1 Taste Washington! Seattle kicks off on Saturday at Seattle's Bell Harbor International Conference Center with wine seminars, a keynote luncheon and a tasting led by Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers. End the day indulgently at the Taste Washington Winemaker Dinner, featuring guest chefs and wineries. The big finale on Sunday is the Grand Tasting event, where attendees can sample wines from more than 200 wineries and nosh on culinary treats from approximately 75 local restaurants including Barrio, Spring Hill Restaurant & Bar, and El Gaucho. Friday & Saturday Café Flora, Seattle's ultimate veggie-only dining experience, is now offering its Atrium Garden Prix Fixe menu. Served exclusively on Friday and Saturday nights, the four-course meal ($45) features handpicked organic produce from nearby Washington farms, foraged wild mushrooms and berries, and locally handcrafted cheeses along with other dairy products.
