July 17-19 Kirkland Uncorked is a weekend-long celebration of food, wine and art at Marina Park in the city of Kirkland. The Tasting and Lifestyle Garden will offer more than 60 vintage wines from over 20 Washington wineries, and winemakers will be on hand to answer questions. The grilling competition will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m., but there will be grilling demonstrations throughout the weekend with chefs like Bobby Moore of Barking Frog and Brian Scheehser of Trellis. July 30 Culinary benefit Taste of the Nation Seattle will be held at Benaroya Hall. Attendees will be able to sample food and beverages by top chefs and mixologists. The event will also include a live and silent auction. One hundred percent of ticket sale proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength Taste of the Nation grantees.
