Bellevue's restaurant boom has two casualities, both in the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Stir Martini & Raw Bar and the recently revamped, Twisted Cork, which merged with 0/8 Seafood, have both closed. With 45 bars and restaurants nearby, area competition was tough. Stir and Twisted were actually among the most established, opened in 2006 and 2009, respectively. No word yet on the street about future plans.

DeNunzio's Trattoria (formerly Luigi's Grotto) in Pioneer Square is closing after 18 years, but owner Luigi DeNunzio’s is looking for a new location. His two other restaurants---the charming Italian restaurant al Boccalino at 1 Yesler, and its sibling Cafe Bengodi on 1st Avenue---are still serving quality Italian cuisine. Also on the chopping block, Seattle's original Red Robin, located in a historic building at the end of University Bridge, will close at the end of March. There are many other Red Robins in Seattle, but this one had NW personality and will be missed by UW students.
