Chef Dan Thiessen, owner of O/8 Seafood Grill in Bellevue, recently opened The Archery Bistro. Located in Normandy Park on the historic site of the actual Northwest Archery, this neighborhood bistro's decor features funky memorabilia such as doors, snowshoes, and a bear trap from Kodiak island. The contemporary menu focuses on Northwest cuisine and locally sourced products. Lunch Mon.-Fri; Dinner nightly. Petit Toulouse, a romantic, candle-lit New Orleans-style bistro launched by Brian Hutmacher, the owner of Peso's Kitchen, recently opened in lower Queen Ann. Unlike its funky next door Mexican neighbor, Petit Toulouse is sexy and elegant, yet still has a high energy buzz. Its extensive menu ranges from spicy fried alligator to filet with foie gras. Cicchetti, a Venetian-style cicchetti (tapas) bar, recently opened right behind its parent restaurant, Serafina. An open kitchen and cozy ambience set the tone for enjoying small, sharable plates and creative cocktails; it's a more casual drop-in option to Serafina. Cicchetti, 121 E. Sip, at the Wine Bar & Restaurant (Yes, this is the correct name, not a typo) opened November 20 at Fifth and Madison in downtown Seattle. The Napa-Valley-inspired Sip, with sibling locations in Issaquah and Gig Harbor, offers what is described as "an approachable global wine selection" featuring nearly 70 by-the-glass choices, wine flights, and more than 250 bottles from around the world, plus the Pacific Northwest and California. A full bar, as well as broad selection of beers, are also be available. Open for lunch and dinner, Sip's menu has a Northwest focus. Brian Hutmacher, who also owns Peso's Kitchen & Lounge, is expected to open his much anticipated new restaurant, the New Oreleans-inspired Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge, in a few weeks. Ponti Opens for Holiday Lunches throughout December
December is the only month of the year when Ponti Seafood Grill serves lunch in its beautiful dining room overlooking the iconic Ship Canal. Seattle's Seastar Offers Lunch for $14 with 45-Minutes of Free Parking
Now it's easy. convenient and affordable to eat and run, or quickly drive back to work, by choosing downtown Seattle's Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar. Diners may select two items from a twelve-item menu, which includes a choice of a soda, coffee or tea, all for $14. They can enjoy their meal and be comfortably finished in 45 minutes or less. Rover's Offers Julia Child-Inspired Menu
If after seeing "Julie & Julia," you've been yearning to put a fork into one or more of Julia Child's choice dishes, Rover's has a tasty menu just for you. During the month of November, Rover's is serving a $55 prix-fixe meal (a real bargain at this top notch restaurant). Carolin Messler Takes Custody of Harvest Vine and Txori
Joseba Jiménez de Jiménez, the founder and chef of The Harvest Vine and Txori, and his wife, Carolin Messler, have parted. Messler is buying Jimenez out of the business, although he plans to remain for a year as a consulting chef. Chef Shuffle

Alvin Binuya, the original chef when Ponti Seafood Grill opened in 1990, is back manning the kitchen, this time as chef and co-owner along with Richard and Sharon Malia. He officially started in October and is already working on a new menu to be unveiled early next year when the holiday craze has subsided.
