The Marina's high concentration of gyms and yoga studios makes it an ideal home for this tidy, mainly-takeout purveyor of self-described "clean food," which its proprietors define as not only vegan but also containing no gluten, dairy, refined sugar, trans fats or GMOs. A lot of flavor, texture and creativity makes up for those absences in executive chef Ariel Nadelberg's thoughtful fare; try the chickpea frittata, dilly cashew-"cheese" NorCal sandwich, apple-kale smoothies and chimichurri-spiked purple potato salad. Rightfully popular is a garnet-red beet/nut/lentil/mushroom/brown rice/raisin burger served on a gluten-free bun. Even the small stuff such as raw lemon curd, eggplant "bacon," mushroom-walnut pâté and brown rice/rice syrup "krispie" bars redefine "health food" as officially gourmet.
