Seo Ra Beol Restaurant Review:
Seo Ra Beol is a unit of a chain of barbecue restaurants serving classic Korean grilled meats and other fare 24 hours a day. For the full feast, gather some friends because the $99 special is more than plenty for three or four persons, and covers the range of meats, including a generous and flavorful rib-eye steak, several other cuts of beef and the option of either chicken or pork belly (our preference), all cooked over coals. Banchan are not plentiful, but they are the usual kimchi, sauces for dipping and a delectable radish dish. Lastly, a sweet rice broth is brought to the table as a nod to dessert. The menu is long and deep, and offers lots of soup and noodle selections, which some might find a bit bland. To drink, there's beer and wine as well as hot Korean tea. Décor is minimal, and we find framed scenes of the Italian coast a quizzical and somewhat amusing addition to the setting.
