With its views overlooking the Potomac at water’s edge, Sequoia retains its fan base that also comes for the American food.

Sequoia Restaurant Review

: This enormous restaurant, which resembles the dining room of a luxury liner docked on the Georgetown riverfront, is not particularly appealing for its food, but its deck is one of the few places you can eat outdoors in good weather and enjoy a view of the river. Even indoors, you get a decent bird’s eye view of the Potomac. Service is negligent and the food is indifferent, but order a beer or a glass of wine and enjoy watching the crew teams practice on the river. If you do decide to eat, the cuisine is decidedly American: lots of steaks and seafood.

Very Impressed!
by HarperTCali on Wed Nov 02, 2011 11:24 am
I am from San Diego, California, and came to Washington, DC for a wedding this past Saturday. My wife and I stayed close by so we would not have to commute far for the reception. Let me tell you, we were VERY impressed! This restaurant is simply gorgeous with a great location. It has a spectacular view of the Potomac River along with the Kennedy Center. The restaurant itself is enormous and decorated very tastefully. The food was very good too! We enjoyed ourselves very much! Next time I am back in DC, I will be returning to try there full menu.
