Serratto Restaurant Review: Although ownership has changed a few times over the years, this corner space in Northwest Portland has long been a reliable go-to spot for Italian cooking. Its Vineria wine bar is a good place to hang out and soak up some local color (Kurt Fritzler has been lead bartender since 1983). If seeking a full meal, move to the dining room, which is family-friendly despite its crisp linen and leather chairs. The appetizer menu includes nice salads, pizza, and calamari and mussels. The house-made pasta dishes are varied---from seasonal spaghetti with arugula-basil pesto and chickpeas to the classic tagliatelle in rich wild boar ragù. Hearty entrées range from roasted duck breast with caramelized fennel risotto to grilled antelope leg with bacon and English peas.
