| A cousin to DC’s Sette Osteria, this Clarendon casual-eats place commanding its corner setting is sleek and modern. Impeccable service wins hungry patrons' hearts, especially when lunchtime limits lingering tableside. Besides, midday is as good a time as any to sample lighter fare, and glimpse such treats as the roasted pork sausage and broccoli rabe sandwich. Unusual pasta offerings, such as the pumpkin-filled pasta with sage and amaretti, and Neapolitan-inspired pizzas add their share of noontime glamour, but also make it to the dinner menu. Heartier dinnertime fare includes a bigger selection of meat- and seafood-based entrées, such as the grilled rib-eye steak or the wine-braised short ribs with mashed potatoes.
