Shamiana Restaurant Review: Although its exterior may be nondescript, Shamiana, named after the enormous multi-colored festival tents in Pakistan, offers Indian and Southeast Asian cuisine amid a candlelit, whimsical décor. Begin with prawns spiked with ginger and green chili, or flame-broiled beef kebabs accompanied by a cool yogurt-coriander sauce. Naan seared in a hot tandoor oven may complement each dish. We also suggest the beef vindaloo, plus the curry and vegetarian items. Don't miss the aloo dum kashmiri --- potatoes elevated with the help of yogurt, onion, tomatoes and spices.
