Shawn’s on Main Restaurant Review: It’s not on the busy waterfront, but if you wander up Morro Bay’s Main Street you’ll find this hidden gem. Owner/chef Shawn Washburn’s menu changes frequently, and the smaller portions (and prices) encourage diners to share courses and experience several bold tastes. For appetizers, we suggest the grilled artichoke with garlic-herb aïoli and the roasted heirloom tomato soup. Entrées have included the spicy and sweet baby-back ribs and the house-made gnocchi with silky Gorgonzola cream sauce. Toffee cheesecake is among the dessert offerings. The wine list focuses on local labels, and it’s a nice array for such a small establishment. |
