THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sheep Station Restaurant Review:

After Park Slope’s once-dicey Fifth Avenue became gentrified, restaurateurs and bar owners set their sights on busy Fourth Avenue. And, as a result, the thoroughfare has undergone a culinary renaissance, not to mention an exponential rise in its hipster-quotient. Sheep Station, a spacious Australian pub, has pressed-tin walls and a friendly atmosphere. We like The Shearer’s burger, a juicy patty capped, in Australian style, with pickled beets, grilled pineapple and a fried egg. There’s also Australian lamb chops with mint peas and mash, grilled yellowfin tuna, oysters, and steak frites. For lighter fare, try the delicate baby arugula salad with beets, sheep’s milk cheese and Dijon vinaigrette. Expect an extensive wine and beer list, too. The comfortable back room showcases local art (and the occasional rugby or cricket match) and offers more seating, in case your party expands or you decide to have one last pint before calling it a night.
