THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Shells Restaurant Review: Shells, a successful franchise to emerge from the west coast of Florida, has restaurants sprinkled throughout the South. While the restaurant shells, or buildings, may vary from place to place, the menu is the same, emphasizing seafood-catfish, shrimp, crab legs, lobster and fresh fish of the day. Many items are served with or on pasta. One of our favorites is Seafood Siciliano, a seafood mix with tomatoes, mushrooms and onions sautéed in an Italian red sauce. Those not in the mood for seafood can find a few items for their tastes, too, such as New York Strip Steak or char-grilled chicken breast. There could be a few more desserts on the menu-four seems to be the standard.
