 Shephard's Waterfront Restaurant Restaurant Review: Shephard's menu has evolved and the traditional daily buffet options have expanded. Chicken basil portobello (tossed with penne in a demi cream sauce) and lobster and scallop fra diavolo (a seven-ounce lobster tail and diver scallops sautéed and served over linguine in a spicy tomato sauce) are a couple of the creative dishes one may encounter. Among entrées are the twin lollipop pork chops, char-grilled with the chef's choice of finishes. Some of the Florida seafood standards persist, such as a fried fisherman's dinner and a surf ‘n' turf, but the buffet remains Shephard's most popular option, especially for its crab legs, prime rib, lobster bisque and clams-on-the-shell. If you've saved room, there’s a dessert bar with house-made pies and cakes. Check out the Sunday brunch---an experience in indulgence. Ordering from the menu is a challenge, with choices such as Big Boy Waffles---Belgian-style waffles with a choice of strawberries, bananas, chocolate chips or candied walnuts. |
