Shinbashi Restaurant Review

: The breezy outdoor patio draws in the corporate crowd while the upscale contemporary setting, marked by cool hues, warm ambient lighting and polished natural wood furnishings, makes this Japanese restaurant a go-to spot year-round. The menu consists of typical selections found at most Japanese sushi restaurants, but the fish is consistently top-grade and the dishes are well-executed. Choose from noodle options like soba with sliced beef in a hot broth or an array of teriyaki bento box combinations for quick satisfying fare. Otherwise, indulge in the long list of sushi rolls, none of which try to reinvent anything --- they just try to improve upon the classics. The eel and avocado and the spicy scallop rolls are particularly good, as is the house signature fried Shinbashi crunch roll. Pair your noodle dishes and/or sushi with one of the many fine bottles of saké available. Or just wash it all down with a large bottle of Japanese beer.
