Chipotle’s company management has tapped into America’s desire for Asian flavors with their ShopHouse eatery. Located in the restaurant-friendly area of Dupont Circle, the place poses a logistics problem for folks in a hurry at lunchtime as lines may be long. But take heart --- they also move quickly. ShopHouse bowls are offered in four varieties, from grilled chicken satay to grilled steak laab, which highlight the flavors of Thailand. Pick the base of noodles or rice, then the main meat, and then a choice of vegetable toppings and sauce. Drinks include a spicy ginger ale with shreds of ginger, several beers and even coconut water. That’s the extent of the menu, but it’s enough for a filling and refreshing taste of Asia in a bowl.
