Shor American Seafood Grill Restaurant Review: A distinct sense of openness prevails at this in-house restaurant of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa --- from the kitchen that invites guests to watch their meal being prepared to the second-floor view of West Florida and its sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. All-day dining is available, from creative breakfast standards and sandwiches and wraps to meat and seafood combinations at night. While the menu may emphasize regional seafood from the Gulf --- especially grouper in season --- one of the most popular highlights is somewhat informally titled "Grill 'Em & Fire 'Em." It tastes better than it sounds. First, diners choose from a selection of meats (such as New York strip loin, filet mignon, chicken breast) or seafood (perhaps black grouper, salmon filet, catch of the day) and then decide between more than a half-dozen spices (blackening spice, chili lime rub, sea salt and black pepper, etc.). The decision making continues with the array of sauces (steak sauce, chive horseradish and béarnaise among others) and numerous side dishes for a truly to-your-taste entrée. The wine menu reflects a modest cellar. Desserts range from a traditional Key lime tart to the rhubarb crème brûlée.
