 For Austin dining with a view, Shoreline ranks right up at the top. The setting dazzles with sunsets on Lady Bird Lake (formerly named Town Lake), making the second story balcony the coveted place for al fresco dining or sipping a cocktail in the cozy bar. The balcony guarantees comfort with heaters in the winter and ceiling fans in the summer. Vibrantly flavored seafood is featured: flash-fried calamari or steamed mussels bobbing in a chorizo broth with fries and hollandaise for starters. For a seafood entrée, we suggest the plump seared sea scallops with celery root purée and chile vinaigrette. Carnivores will get their fill with the lamb T-bone or Prime rib-eye dressed in a bourbon demi.
