THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Short Story Restaurant Review:
From its Prelude (drinks) to Part I (chilled small plates) to its Denouement (desserts) and Footnotes (after dinner drinks), The Short Story is a gustatory salute to writer Ernest Hemingway. It was inspired by a gift given to owner J. Norman Housteau by his mother when he was a child, the short stories of Hemingway. Sleek, modern and masculine, the restaurant features posters of Key West and a portrait of Hemingway as a young man on its terra cotta-colored walls. Relax with The Short Story martini and start off with Kobe beef carpaccio. For entrées, go for the pan-roasted sea scallops, truffled cauliflower custard and lobster hollandaise. For dessert, try the warm chocolate soufflé.
