| The authentic Thai dishes at this sophisticated, cozy and popular neighborhood restaurant have attitude in the best way. Whether you start with the addictive, rice paper-wrapped Siam roll or marinated shrimp encased in wontons the outlook is good. Ubiquitous Thai classics are proven favorites, but step outside the box for basil eggplant or spicy pad ped, a marriage of four proteins and plenty of vegetables. While the wines are so-so, the beer selection is better than average. Consider also the Thai, ginger and chrysanthemum teas to accompany your meal or dessert. Speaking of dessert, we favor the roti rolls, Asian bread sautéed in butter and topped with sauce. Mango and sticky rice or fried bananas with ice cream are other choices to share---or enjoy all by yourself. |
