SideBern's Restaurant Review: There's a cosmopolitan air to this offshoot of the famous big brother, Bern's Steak House. Its cool shades of yellow, aqua and soothing pale blue coexist with a bit of the Old World, evident in the banquettes and upholstered arm chairs and brick floors. Chef Chad Johnson draws from the Mediterranean for his gastronomically forward (and pricey) flights of fancy. He celebrates rustic cuts and house-cured meats, but the menu still smacks of luxe indulgences. The wine list includes splurge-worthy big name bottlings, and there are well-made retro cocktails that the cast of Mad Men would applaud.
