Signature Grille Restaurant Review: The loss of chef Shawn Mac from Twingo’s is the Signature Grille’s gain. Mac, who is now Signature Grille’s executive chef, is on hand nightly to help prepare a solid menu favoring dishes with Italian flair. With a good view of the Riverfront Towers’ yacht basin through its window walls and vintage nautical photos of Detroit in its interior, it provides a subdued atmosphere---that is, until karaoke begins at the center bar at 8 p.m. Start with the very good ceviche or seared yellowfin tuna. Entrées from the compact menu include a ten-ounce tenderloin, chicken Marsala that’s tender and sweet, and beer-battered shrimp that is a bit heavy on breading. A generous dish of scallops Parmesan atop a nest of linguine is among your best bets. When it comes time for a finale, go for peanut-topped peach cobbler.
