Foodies can indulge themselves in healthful and well-prepared meals thanks to the Silver Diner restaurant group. Chef Ype Von Hengst creates farm-to-table dishes to please the entire family. With business savvy, the owner and chef have opened up Silver Diners in many metro area locations. Too bad you cannot make reservations at a diner, but know that the smoky cheddar cheese burger (plus the other choices) and the full entrées, such as the Bell & Evans chicken potpie, are worth the wait. The extensive American menu takes patrons from early morning breakfasts of waffles, pancakes or egg dishes to kids’ plates and dinnertime “light” fare like a mango vegetarian stir-fry. And dessert? What other diner would offer a goat cheese cheesecake?
