Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar Restaurant Review: The flagship restaurant of the Wyndham Orange County hotel has gotten a massive upgrade, as the space formerly occupied by TerraNova now features an expanded, brighter dining room with a sleek, slightly metropolitan ambience, which works well with the area’s surrounding fine arts venues. Begin your meal with braised short rib ravioli served in a sherry cream. Entrées, like the locally caught herb-basted halibut accompanied by a purée of farm fresh carrots and marinated artichokes, display the kitchen’s use of seasonal ingredients, while offerings like the flat-iron steak with garlic roasted potatoes showcase an adherence to classic fare. Finish your meal with the butterscotch pot de crème. And while the wine list is not extensive, it does contain several top California labels which can be enjoyed in full- and half-bottle form. |
